Sisoft Sandra 2001 Pro CPU benchmark

Soltek SL-75DRV
CPU Dhrystone 3389
FPU Whetstone 1658
Soltek SL-75DRV2
CPU Dhrystone 4330
FPU Whetstone 2134

OK - the original test was done with an Athlon 1.2 GHz CPU - and on WinME, with different drivers, blah blah. This is our first KT266A review so rather than bore you we give you numbers so you have an idea how much improvement is possible with an AthlonXP 1800+ and the SL-75DRV2. You can download Sandra here.

Sisoft Sandra 2001 Pro Memory Streaming benchmark

Soltek SL-75DRV
ALU/RAM Bandwidth 580
FPU/RAM Bandwidth 753
Soltek SL-75DRV2
ALU/RAM Bandwidth 776
FPU/RAM Bandwidth 850

Again, we could have compared the results to anything. Perhaps a Pentium 4 board? How about the molting of a moth? Seriously, thems big gains there folks. Let's hope some of the other KT266A motherboards out there are doing this well. What is especially interesting is that both of these motherboards use DDR SDRAM memory yet there are obvious improvements in the KT266A chipset that allow for these improvements.
