We've been spoiled with higher
scores lately. I had to go back to see that the non DDR board we reviewed from
Soltek scored 7223. 3D Mark 2000 uses DirectX 7 so this may not be as accurate
a comparison for today's games. You can download 3D Mark 2000
here.

Mad
Onion's 3D Mark 2001
     3D Mark 2001 is a remarkably
intense program for benchmarking. Interestingly the Soltek SL-75KAV (no DDR) scored
2871. I'm quite surprised by the results using both 3D Mark utilities. I hadn't
expected to see a flip-flop between these two benchmarks with these boards. You
can download 3D Mark 2001 here.

 Here
another good comparison. What is unusual is
that in the lowest resolutions at the lower quality settings the VIA based board
has a distinct advantage. That is quickly lost in every other resolution. Also,
the Tomcat's numbers are definately being held back by the video card as we can
see the similarity in the scores at 640x480 and 800x600. Notice how little the
scores change in those resolutions between the normal and high-quality settings.
