The Subwoofer
The Sirocco crossfire speaker system comes with
the same Subwoofer that the first Sirocco speakers came with. The subwoofer
is magnetically shielded. It uses an Audax 6.5" cone capable of frequencies
between 35 to 130Hz and is constructed of medium density fiberboard. VideoLogic
also included an optional metal grill for protection as shown on the picture
below.
The Satellites
The original sirocco system has many similarities over the new Crossfire system,
one of them is the decision of using the same subwoofer and similar audax
drivers. Because of production costs of the original sirocco set-up, VideoLogic
decided to shrink the size of the casing and at the same time use a 3"
Audax driver instead of the original 4" driver used in the sirocco’s.
A 10mm high-frequency drive unit (tweeter) is used to provide crisp and clear
treble.
