Screenshots

To show the display quality of the card I took a couple of screenshots in Quake III Arena. They are at 640 x 480 but I made them clickable so you can blow them up to 1024 x 768 if you want to see every little detail.

In the first one we can see the sky effect. I was very happy with the quality of the sky with the Matrox G450. Here we see that the sky effect isn't quite as good, but more importantly in a game like Quake III, there aren't as many jaggies in the textures of the walls and other objects. The Matrox card didn't have good performance at 1024 x 768 so its full-size screenshots are at a lower resolution. Let me assure you that even at 1024 x 768 there were more jaggies on the edges of objects than you'll find with the WinFast GeForce2 GTS.

The ramp area in this map causes texture problems for every video card I've tried with it. The textures on the ramp displayed by this card are quite good. I think that this is a nicer effect than the Matrox card produced with these same lights. More interesting is the fact that the jaggies are nowhere as common as with the Matrox card when in the game.
